Ecology-Care Pest Control (ABN 56 724 425 828) is a family-owned pest control business operating on the Gold Coast. This policy covers the information collected through this website. It does not cover information you give us on the phone or in person, which we handle the same way: we use it to do the job you asked for, and we don’t sell it.

What the forms collect

This site has two forms — the quote form and the call-back form on the home page. Between them they collect:

Your name and phone number. These are the only two fields we require, because without them we can’t call you back.
Your email address, if you choose to give it.
The suburb the property is in, the property type, the pest, and when you need us.
Anything you write in the notes field.

Please don’t put sensitive personal information in the notes field. We only need enough to quote the job.

What we do with it

We use it to contact you about your enquiry and to quote and carry out the work. We don’t sell it, rent it, or pass it to marketing companies, and we don’t add you to a mailing list because we don’t run one.

Where it’s stored

Submissions are saved to a database hosted by Cloudflare, the company that also serves this website.
A notification email is sent to our office through Resend, an email delivery provider, so we see your enquiry promptly.
Our email is provided by Google Workspace.

Those providers store data on servers that may be outside Australia. They process it on our instructions only.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to service the work and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed pest management business — pest and termite treatment records in particular have to be kept for a period set by Queensland regulation. After that they’re deleted.

Getting a copy, or getting it deleted

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email customer.service@ecologycare.com.au or phone (07) 5573 2105 and we’ll sort it out. There’s no charge.

If we’ve held on to something because a treatment record requires it, we’ll tell you that rather than quietly ignoring the request.

Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your information, contact us first — most things are a misunderstanding we can fix the same day. If you’re not satisfied with how we respond, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
