The join is where barriers break
- An extension pours new slab against old, and that join is the most common concealed entry point we find.
- We tie the new work into the home’s existing protection so there’s no untreated gap.
- An inspection first, so you know the existing home is clean before the walls close up.

Asked before most pours
Is termite protection required on a new build?
Yes. New homes in Queensland need a termite management system installed to the Australian standard, and your certifier will ask for the certificate. We issue it the same day the work is done.
When should we book you in?
As soon as you have a pour date. The under-slab stage happens after plumbing rough-in and before the concrete, and we fit in around the other trades.
Does a small extension still need it?
Yes. The new-to-old join is the most common concealed entry we find, and it’s cheapest to protect while the ground is open.
